A healthy and refreshing Strawberry Lemonade that would elegantly accompany any meal, or could be greatly enjoyed on its own!
Strawberries make me happy, no matter the season. I love strawberries and would consume them in any form; be it raw, cooked, frozen or served in a drink! Strawberries are not only tasty and pretty, but healthy too.
Strawberries contain many nutrients, vitamins and minerals, in addition to antioxidants and polyphenols. They also help improving the immune system and reducing the signs of premature aging. And it’s quite interesting how these health benefits are doubled when strawberries are combined with lemons. And this is one of the reasons why I combined strawberries with lemon in this recipe.
How to make strawberry lemonade?
The recipe is so easy to make, yet the result is so tasty and elegant. If you are planning a romantic dinner on Valentine’s Day, then this strawberry lemonade is the right drink to accompany it. It will make your Valentine’s Day special!
To save time, use frozen strawberries and freshly squeezed lemon juice and you will have your drink ready in no time. You could also add bit of sugar to sweeten it up, some ice cubes and sparkling water. Et voila! It’s ready and just waiting for you to start the celebration!
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/2 cup sparkling water
- 1/2 cup ice cubes
- 2 tsp sugar
Combine frozen strawberries, lemon juice, sugar and ice cubes in a blender. Blend on high for 10 seconds or until smooth.
Pour into cups filling only two thirds.
Add sparkling water and serve.
